Medb is a legendary warrior queen in the Irish mythology of Ulster Cycle, her role as the villain is integral to many parts of the Ulster Cycle, she is best known for starting The Cattle Raid of Cooley and her several encounters with the Irish hero Cuchulainn. Medb is a powerful, highly independent warrior leader that is as cunning as she is proud, her archetype was quite similar to Hippolyta the Queen of the Amazon and thus she is sometimes viewed as the Irish goddess of sovereignty and territory.
