The Three Musketeers is the first book of the historical adventure series written by French author Alexandre Dumas. The novel was followed by Twenty Years After and ended with The Vicomte de Bragelonne: Ten Years Later, over the years it had many notable adaptations mostly from the first book and the part three of Ten Years Later - The Man in the Iron Mask. The story begins with a young d’Artagnan’s arrival in Paris to join the Musketeers of the Guard, although he wasn’t able to become a musketeer at first, he became friends with three of the most formidable musketeers of his time, Athos, Porthos and Aramis. Dumas’ writing technique tells history through the visage of Romance, his characters participate minor details of major events throughout history, accompanied by various real historical figures, his formula lifted an entire genre and gave us an incredible serie to remember.
