This active, high energy dog, is perfectly suited to the open fields and working in a pack. It has been trained over many years, some say since the 16th century, to run with horses in pursuit of the fox scent. Extraordinary endurance and tenacity are it’s key attributes. This bronze, by Michael Simpson, is a limited edition of 150 pieces.

This Foxhound sculpture is made in solid foundry bronze using the ancient method of lost wax casting. The design finished by the art of patination where various acids are applied to the surface of the bronze and heat applied to create a deep rich brown patina. Then bronze is then sealed with a special wax which further enhances the colour and protects the bronze for years to come.

Your Foxhound is beautifully presented in a printed box containing a signed certificate of authenticity. The bronze is engraved with the sculptor’s signature and limited edition number, matching the certificate enclosed.

This solid bronze statue is crafted using the traditional lost-wax casting method, an ancient technique perfected over thousands of years. This process involves sculpting a detailed wax model, creating a heat-resistant mold, and pouring molten bronze into the cavity left by the melted wax. The result is a finely detailed, solid bronze piece with exceptional durability and craftsmanship.
